As an award-winning Columbia Area Career Center broadcast student, Kaitlyn Bailey covered student life, education and politics during her time as a reporter for CPS-360. In addition to reporting for her district’s television program, Kaitlyn regularly produced and anchored the monthly news show.

Her reputation as a dedicated journalist with a passion for accurately reporting news to the public, as well as covering important issues and events allowed her to excel as a broadcast student at the career center. Kaitlyn landed more than five awards in Broadcast Journalism through the Missouri Interscholastic Press Association, along with an internship and job at a local television station. She was awarded Outstanding Student in her advanced Broadcast Television Class twice.

Her favorite story to cover was getting to travel to the Missouri State Capitol to interview Representative Martha Stevens about a local period poverty campaign.
