A quote in the Washington Post newsroom reads, “The truth, no matter how bad, is never as dangerous as a lie in the long run.”
The day I realized Ben Bradlee was right started a burning passion within me: there is a fundamental need for the truth. That day was the day I decided to try out my schools journalism program, and I have fallen in love journalism ever since.
As a journalist, I hope to give a voice to those who are voiceless. I believe that there is always a story that deserves to be told which is why I love the field of journalism. We get to tell those stories. Journalists can ask the questions the public wants to know, and share the stories of the people in the community.
Born and raised in the heart of the midwest, I love to spend my days hiking, spending time with friends, and watching all things SEC.
